The Reality Labs Research HW Team is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to help bring cutting-edge experiences and hardware to life through collaboration and commitment. Our research projects push the boundaries of AR and VR technology with display systems, sensors, hardware, firmware, drivers, and software. These innovations are made possible through professional kinship, good communication, and empathy across domains for the diverse challenge space. You will work closely with other engineers and researchers in this role to design, build, and test novel prototype hardware and experiences. You will collaborate and contribute at a deeply technical level as well as provide guidance to supporting team members. You will work with hardware ranging from microcontrollers to large-scale custom and off-the-shelf SoCs. You will be part of the team working on hardware design, bring-up, debugging, and supporting the end users of your work.
