The Central Investigations Team is dedicated to keeping users of the Meta family of applications safe. We pride ourselves in helping prevent harm by applying deep subject matter expertise to identify and escalate sources of abusive behavior. Our team is seeking a highly-motivated and experienced investigator who will have the opportunity to deliver impact on some of the most challenging risks the company faces. The successful candidate will be able to assess and analyze large amounts of data to surface and deter fraud and abuse, operate independently in a fast-paced environment, and proactively collaborate with teams across the company. The position is full-time and would be based in our Singapore or Sydney office.
Central Investigations Analyst Responsibilities
  • Investigate complex cases and identify sources of abuse while also conducting deep analysis of how abuse manifests on Meta platforms
  • Proactively surface fraud and abuse and partner with relevant teams on enforcement, potential legal action, and referrals
  • Summarize findings, generate reports, and escalate threats, as necessary
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams on investigations, escalations, incident response and time-sensitive requests
  • Identify opportunities for process, detection, and policy improvements and collaborate with policy, engineering, and integrity partners to improve the detection of behaviour that violates our Community Standards
  • Independently manage multiple analyses at once while effectively prioritizing time
  • Maintain availability for after-hours and weekend work
  • Conduct complex attribution and network investigations
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of investigations or analytical experience
  • Subject matter knowledge on how fraud and scams manifest across Meta apps and services
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders on complex projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing data analytics programming languages, as well as data visualization software
  • Experience conducting investigations necessitating complex attribution at Meta, including on investigations to surface fraud and scams
  • Familiarity with using various social media platforms, analytical tools, and online research tools
  • Experience working with Legal teams on referrals related to fraud, scams, and other abusive activity and violations of our Community Standards
