Meta is looking for a Manager to join our Edge & Network Services (ENS) Global Field Support team. This global team offers a unique career opportunity to work with all of the latest network technologies and talented engineers solving some of the most complex problems in the industry. For this role, we are looking for a hands-on Technical Manager with experience in managing new product introduction (NPI) for production network infrastructure including new network designs, hardware platforms, and components. In addition, we are also looking for someone with experience with supporting pre-production environments and custom infrastructure utilized for Research & Development. Manager, Network Lifecycle Services Responsibilities
  • Manage a global team of network engineers responsible for new product introduction (NPI) and integration of non-standard infrastructure into our data centers
  • Influence hardware, system, and network designs to ensure serviceability and seamless integration into our data center
  • Lead the development of support models for deploying and operating new infrastructure for Production, Pre-Production, or R&D customers
  • Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors
  • Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving innovation in quality and reliability
  • Develop tooling and implement automation to drive efficiency in all aspects of our work
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and development of a diverse team of individuals
  • Manage and improve global best practices and drive consistency across the regions
  • Up to 15-20% of travel required based on project demand
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing a technical team, with 10+ years of experience designing, deploying and operating production networks
  • Experience with managing the introduction of new technology in production networks
  • Experience working with network hardware platforms and technical requirements in space, power, cooling, structured cabling, and high-speed interconnects
  • Experience working with internet networking technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and optical transport technologies
  • Experience in infrastructure design, build, and operational best practices
  • Experience with process improvement and automating repetitive workflows
  • Track record of solving problems, setting strategic direction, and executing tactically
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with developing and implementing new network designs and products
  • Experience with the network hardware development process - design, testing, validation
  • Experience managing and leading a global team in a matrixed environment with limited supervision
  • Experience building and operating hardware pre-production and R&D environments
  • Data center design or relevant telecommunications certifications
