Computer Vision Engineer Responsibilities
  • Solve challenges at the forefront of computer vision that will transform virtual reality from dream to reality.
  • Develop creative computer vision and tracking software for a variety of virtual reality products.
  • Develop novel, accurate computer vision algorithms and advanced systems with a focus on real-time object tracking, SLAM, sensor fusion, visual odometry, camera calibration and 3D reconstruction.
  • Research, develop and prototype advanced hardware and software technologies related to tracking, 3D reconstruction, photometric stereo, object detection and appearance modeling.
  • Apply machine learning to computer vision problems.
  • Research and prototype techniques and algorithms for face pose and appearance estimation.
  • Contribute research that can be applied to product development.
  • Develop robust software for integrating multiple sensors and tracking systems.
  • Prototype hardware and software solutions for tracking, detection and modeling.
  • Perform research that enables modeling and tracking the human body.
  • Conceive proof-of-concept prototypes that establish overall system performance.
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various deployed systems.
  • Collaborate with team members from prototyping through production to advance the entire project.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics, or related field and six months of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires six months of experience in the following:
  • 1. C, C++, C#, or Java
  • 2. Image processing, computer vision, graphs, and computational geometry
  • 3. Statistical signal processing
  • 4. Machine learning
  • 5. Developing and designing computer vision technologies and systems
  • 6. Developing AR/VR experiences
  • 7. 3D geometry and computer vision for reconstruction and calibration
  • 8. Accelerating algorithms using GPUs
  • 9. Computer Graphics, rendering.

$234,130/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
