Cross-Meta Integrity (XI) Experiences builds the products and UI people and businesses use to protect the community, advertisers, and their voice. We build these experiences at scale across problems and surfaces, to ensure Meta’s approach to integrity is legitimate in the eyes of people, businesses and stakeholders. We also aim to increase voice and economic opportunities and to prevent harm. In 2023, we are focused on compliance, friction and unification. Additionally, we are understanding how integrity experiences impact top-line company metrics. The XI Experiences TL will drive the tech strategy, architecture, quality and tech talent growth for a team of ~100 SWE organized in 3 areas (7 teams): Organic Experiences which focus on the community, creators and the Family of Apps, Paid Experiences which focuses on advertisers, and Experience Platforms which builds shared systems for both to ensure efficiency.
Cross-Meta Integrity (XI) Experiences Tech Lead Responsibilities
  • Provide a long term technical vision, propose new approaches to understanding, defining and solving the integrity problems our team is accountable for
  • Ensure quality of architecture, identify areas of technical improvement for existing services or newly required services
  • Lead the technical contribution to the roadmap and in particular Better Engineering
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability and lean maintenance cost
  • Translate the business need into a solution that is the best technological / complexity aware / time to market aware solution
  • Help coach and mentor other engineers. Provide appropriate level of guidance and feedback to different engineers on their work
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previously been in a tech lead or org lead tech role
  • Proven track record of setting tech direction in a broad and complex scope and landing the impact directly and through others
  • Ability to work in an highly ambiguous environment with a fragmented set of stakeholders/customers
  • Ability to influence others via strong written or oral comms across organizations, within their own org, and with multiple partners
  • Experience with growing tech talent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Product Focus
  • Has worked on platform products before that enable other developers or teams to move faster (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Ability to move quickly via PoCs while also building systems/platforms that scale to billions of customers
  • Internal customer management skills
  • [UX Focus]: Experience building scalable solutions that can provide User Experience across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads, Messenger and multiple Design Systems
  • [Self serve for developer adoption]: Experience building “self serve” tools for developers to reduce the time-to-adopt and time-to-market and reduce friction for partner teams
