Facebook is looking for an entrepreneurial leader for our Media Partner Engineering & Tech team. This leader will be responsible for scaling and managing a team of engineers and technology consultants, partnering with cross-functional counterparts from product management, engineering, and business partnerships to help drive our partner strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical teams, a deep understanding of developer ecosystems, proficient technical skills, a proven ability to work well in a highly dynamic, cross-functional environment and a passion for Facebook platforms.
Manager, Media Partner Engineering & Tech Responsibilities
  • Lead an inclusive team of individual contributors to deliver on projects and/or programs across regions or business groups
  • Communicate strategic information and context from the company and organization to the team, the manager, and other stakeholders
  • Set clear expectations, and provide direction to individuals in order to complete project or goal
  • Lead with care, recognize individual contributions, give and seek timely feedback, ensuring the team is healthy and sustaining productive relationships
  • Build and scale the team by interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new employees
  • Empower people to execute against their priorities and hold them accountable for success
  • Make project decisions within the scope of the plan, leveraging insights from the team, and escalate when issues arise as appropriate
  • Serve as a technology/business subject matter expert within the team and provide consultation on domain-level projects
  • Help problem solve to spot new solutions, and influence/drive workflow changes when applicable using expertise
  • Proactively engage in technical strategy and roadmap discussions with long-term partners
  • Able to position third-party solutions to partners and help represent their interests to these third parties
  • Understand competitive landscape and provide insight into how strategic issues affect product development
  • Build and deliver developer documentation and external-facing presentations in collaboration with relevant teams at Facebook
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, partner/sales engineer, or technical consultant
  • 2+ years of experience leading software engineering, partner/sales engineering, or technical consulting teams
  • B.A./B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience
  • Experience growing teams and designing organizations to maximize impact
  • Knowledge of the Web technology stack
  • Experience communicating and partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with APIs
  • Fluent English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing a team with multiple roles
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
