Meta is seeking a proactive and hands-on hardware focused Channel Inventory Operations Planner to support our Distribution Partners responsible for reselling to B2B Partners (Retail, Enterprise, Carriers). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support an exciting array of consumer electronics products focused on Mixed Reality (MR) and social presence. This position reports to the regional Channel Operations Manager.
Channel Inventory Operations Planner Responsibilities
  • Employ CPFR methodologies on assigned Partner accounts to plan for customer demand
  • Ensure timely and accurate allocation of inventory and CPFR sell in plans in the tools as applicable
  • Ensure timely and accurate purchase order receipt into the system to consume allocations and in alignment with outbound order capacities at the warehouse
  • Communicate order status, ETAs and tracking information to Partners and internal teams
  • Monitor Distribution Partners, tier 2 Retailers and internal DC inventory health
  • Sense and respond to sell-in, sell-out, and sell through to ensure optimal supply availability throughout the channel
  • Actively manage regularly scheduled meetings with Sales, Partners, and other internal teams as required
  • Liaise with Finance on credit limit preparation, order approvals, customer deductions, stock rotations, returns, and delivery confirmations
  • Provide project support and assistance as assigned or required
  • Perform system and physical inventory reconciliation as required
  • Collaborate and oversees accounts with Channel Operations team
  • Assist with onboarding and administrative details to meet targets and ensure all systems are updated with accurate information for transacting business
  • Regular and ad-hoc reporting, as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years directly supporting Retail, Carrier and/or Enterprise Partners, including commercial terms, SLA’s, order and inventory management
  • Retail experience required, Enterprise or Telco/carrier experience highly desired
  • Strong analytical skills required (Intermediate to Expert level in Excel)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize requests
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to present your message to a wide range of audiences e.g. engineering, technical operations, 3rd party vendors, etc. in both English and Japanese
  • Able to adapt to new internal tools and processes quickly
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills to fulfill daily, weekly, monthly deliverables
  • Genuine care and concern for meeting others’ needs and delivering against objectives and timelines
  • Experience with using Oracle ERP, Excel, Tableau
  • B.S. Degree in Business or related field
  • This position will be based in Tokyo and on site.
